New Crew and a New Sport (Skimboarding)

New crew! One of our dearest friends made her way from Chicago down to Wrightsville Beach to join our motley crew for a bit. But, before welcoming her onboard, we arrived at the anchorage early, checked out the beaches, and tried out a new sport - skimboarding.

I (Andy) have wanted to give skimboarding an honest try for quite some time. So, our new friends at Aussie Island Surf Shop (not sponsored) hooked me up with a new board, skid pad, and wax. How did it go? Exactly like you'd expect for someone who has never tried to skimboard before!
