Removing our old Perkins

Hi all!

When we bought Magic Dragon, we knew that the engine ran but was in rough shape. After consulting with several mechanics and a surveyor, we decided to pull the trigger and do a complete repower of the boat. Originally, we placed an order for a brand new 85 HP Yanmar, but that order got delayed time and time and time again. After being delayed nearly six months, we canceled the order and opted to purchase a rebuilt 110 HP 4JH Yanmar.

That rebuilt Yanmar is ready, but first we have to remove the old Perkins and get the engine room ready. Let's get this repowering project started!
