Launch Day

Alpha Waves, our first boat. She really has been the perfect starter boat, a gateway into nautical life. Without Alpha Waves, we would not have bought Magic Dragon or any other sailboat. We would not be standing on the shores of our next great adventure, preparing to shove off. 

We owe a lot to Alpa Waves. 

When we purchased her, she was a mechanically sound but rough around the edges 1995 Larson Cabrio 310. With some elbow grease and time, we’ve been able to bring her back to life. Alpha Waves is now a clean, attractive, and still mechanically sound 32-foot cabin cruiser. A fantastic boat for Lake Michigan. 

Unfortunately, our time is winding down with her. To embark on our nautical adventure we have to find new caretakers for some of our land-based possessions - including Alpha Waves. 

The plan is to successfully launch her, cruise down the Chicago River, return her to her dock-side home in the Jackson Park Outer Harbor, enjoy her for a few more weeks (or maybe a month), and then find her a new home.
