New Years in Jamaica

Life moves in cycles. The tranquility of night gives way to the action of morning. This give and take between movement and rest manifests itself everywhere. Day after day, week after week, year after year. 

Periods of activity and periods of relaxation. Both are vitally important. 

The end of each year reminds me of this cycle. We transition from hectic work schedules to, family-filled holidays, and then a resetting of the calendar. 

Kirstin and I try to take time at the end of each year to recharge our batteries. Just the two of us, seeking refuge from the constant demands of life, and there’s nothing better than a beautiful beach and the sound of the ocean to melt away stress and rejuvenate our minds. 

The beach and the ocean paired with great entertainment, good food, and stimulating activities is basically heaven on earth. 

This year, we found our little slice of heaven at the Excellence Oyster Bay resort in Falmouth, Jamaica.
