Food, Family, & Fun in DESTIN, Florida

Crystal clear water, amazing sand, good food, and free condo. What’s not to love? 

Originally settled by Leonard Destin in 1845 (or maybe 1850, records are a bit scarce), the area of Destin became a local finishing hub. The area would continue to grow in popularity and its first condos were built in the early 1970s. Nearly 140 years after the first settler, Destin incorporated itself into an official municipality in 1984. 

Kirstin’s family has a long-standing relationship with Destin. Her uncle owns two condos, and her parents make yearly pilgrimages south to escape the chill of the late Missouri autumn. 

The family knows Destin like a local. From their favorite hole-in-the-wall eateries to the best beaches, our family will not lead you astray. 

In late 2021, Kirstin and I joined her parents for a week filled with food, family, & fun in Destin, Florida - the Jewel of the Emerald Coast.
