We survived Key West (barely)

We survived Key West (barely).

No, no, no. It’s probably not what you think. We are not talking parties deep into the night on Duval street.

We are talking about big storms, boats hitting us, and sustained winds of several days. These experiences were a bit of baptism by fire (or water if you will). A fair initiation into this lifestyle.

This trip was a reminder that the cost bill for this lifestyle is due every day. Not just financially. Of course the boat and the repairs and the new systems cost money. But, the choice to live a harder life. To have to weather storms. To get by. Those receipts come due every day.

For now, we are happy to pay them.
